Gvozdenović admits that the team was under pressure…

The draw in Korçë against Elbasan didn’t leave a bad taste, but there were notes of dissatisfaction as everyone acknowledged that they left two points behind.

Regarding this, coach Ivan Gvozdenović stated about the pressure: “Of course, the team also had psychological pressure, which was more emotional. It was our first match on home ground, and we were aiming for the three points, but that’s football.”

Gvozdenović, laughing, added: “The players wanted to give me a birthday present with three points, and that was also part of the pressure.”

It’s clear that within what the coach has said, there is truth, but the opponents were also a team to be respected. However, it’s just the beginning, and the team from Korçë started with a point.

“SPORT 4 weeks Super League / Skënderbeu, missing 2 points from last year!”

Skënderbeu this season looks more or less like a copy of last season, even though a year ago after four weeks, the team had 6 points, while this season they have 4 points.

Last year, after 4 weeks, Skënderbeu had 2 wins and 2 losses; this season they have 1 win, 1 draw, and 2 losses.

In fact, last season Skënderbeu started a major turnaround after the 6th week, when they won 1-2 away against Erzeni. Let’s see if we will indeed have a repeat of this scenario in the new season.

Nevertheless, the 2 points missing from last year are not insignificant, but Skënderbeu has the chance to start a major turnaround as early as next Monday when they play away against Dinamo.

Let’s remember that in the 5th week we will have the match Dinamo-Skënderbeu. After that, Skënderbeu will host Laçi at their southeastern stadium in the 6th week, and in the 7th week, they will travel to face Tirana in the capital.

Will these matches be the turning point for Skënderbeu, allowing us to see once again the team with fantastic results like last season?

We hope that this Skënderbeu will show its ‘teeth’ in this Superliga starting Monday…

SKËNDERBEU 3 Points Away from the Top / A Victory Against Dinamo Would Be a Major Turnaround!”

Even after the recent loss to Teuta, Skënderbeu does not have the same psychological state as before. It should be noted that the white-reds need to forget that defeat and focus on Dinamo, as the championship is still long and only the first 4 weeks have been played.

Looking at the standings, Skënderbeu is currently in 8th place, but it is only 3 points away from the top position, meaning that no team has pulled away significantly, and all 10 teams are closely grouped in terms of points.

Skënderbeu has always been able to bounce back after losses, and it is expected that they will do the same this 5th week, despite the high difficulty coefficient of playing away against Dinamo, a team that has the same number of points as Skënderbeu.

A victory tomorrow for Skënderbeu would mean that the team would again be among the top contenders in the Superliga. Therefore, in recent days, both the coaching staff and the management have worked hard to maintain the players’ psychological well-being.

At this moment, Skënderbeu is only missing the points, as they have a player squad even stronger than last season. The “Wolves” will know how to secure points tomorrow from “Elbasan Arena.” Go Skënderbe!
