This is the white and red talent from 4 years ago, Now Skënderbeu’s top scorer!

Four years ago, in 2020, this was the moment of Ermir Rashica’s training sessions in Kosovo, as shown in the photo above. Today, Rashica has risen significantly; from Kosova to Skënderbeu, he has made his mark on the U-21 national team and aims for a spot on the senior red-and-black squad. He is also expected to make a major transfer to Europe, possibly as early as the winter market.

Through hard work, Ermir Rashica has become a key player. At Skënderbeu, he has already scored 3 goals in the first 7 weeks of the season and hopes to be among the top scorers.

Rashica is one of those rare talents whose extraordinary qualities are evident. His natural position is as a winger, a role he showcased four years ago, and now he must truly step up and become a leader for Skënderbeu.

Even during the recent loss to Tirana, he was one of the best players on the field, and this Saturday is his chance to shine and prove that Ermir Rashica is invaluable.

Go, young man from Mitrovica!

The Challenge with Egnatia is crucial / President Takaj arrives 3 days early in Korçë

The match between Skënderbeu and Egnatia, scheduled for Saturday at 19:00 at the “Skënderbeu” stadium, is more than just important. This is because Skënderbeu needs a victory, and Egnatia comes off a home loss to Partizani, meaning they also desperately need points.

However, the situation at Skënderbeu is not what everyone expected after the first seven weeks, especially since President Ardjan Takaj had high hopes for an even better start than last season.

This has not happened, as in these seven weeks, Skënderbeu has only managed 7 points, and following the recent loss to Tirana, President Takaj has decided to arrive in the southeastern city three days ahead of the match against Egnatia.

His presence has certainly changed the mood within the team, as players are starting to raise their adrenaline early, and by Saturday, they are expected to give more than 100% on the field.

The president closely observed yesterday’s training session and was also present today. Additionally, he will be there for the final training session tomorrow to further motivate the team ahead of this crucial challenge.

If there’s a day when the players need to give their all on the field, it’s this Saturday, and undoubtedly, Ardjan Takaj is there to show that this match holds significant importance and is worth three vital points.

Go Skënderbeu!

MALIQI travels to Memaliaj / DEVOLLI away in Delvinë

On Sunday, October 6, the third round of the second division for Group B will take place, featuring the two teams from the Korça Prefecture: Maliqi and Devolli. All matches this week will be played on Sunday, starting at 14:00.

After securing a win in the second round and resting in the first week, Maliqi will travel to face Memaliaj. Memaliaj, having zero points from two losses, appears to be an easier opponent on paper, allowing Maliqi the opportunity to grab their second consecutive victory. Maliqi defeated Luftëtari 1-0 in their second-round match at home and enters the game with high morale. The management and players are optimistic about returning from Memaliaj with three points.

Devolli, with two points from two draws, will also play away, but in Delvinë, in a match scheduled for Sunday at 14:00. Their two draws came against Turbina away and Butrinti at home, and dropping points has been their biggest disappointment. Delvinë, their opponent, has played only one match in these two weeks and lost, placing them at zero points. Nevertheless, it will be a tough away match, but the Devolli players will aim to secure their first win of the season.

Wishing success to Maliqi and Devolli in this third week of the second division!

Skënderbeu set for lineup changes on Saturday/ Here’s what to expect

The white and red team continues its training sessions in preparation for the upcoming match, which will be played at home against Egnatia, one of the strongest teams.

From what we’ve learned about the training process at Skënderbeu, there will be some changes in the lineup. This is due to several players being injured, as well as some tactical adjustments to strengthen the team. Naturally, these won’t be radical changes, but three or four positions will likely see alterations.

It’s almost confirmed that Merlim will not play, and Pecani or even Franklin may start from the first minute. Meanwhile, the defense is considering Shaqe as a strong alternative who could swap places with Gerco.

There’s also a possibility for Tayo in the attacking line. In fact, he was expected to play in the last match but couldn’t due to having five foreign players on the field. Doka and Balaj are also nearly ready for this match. All these observations come from the training process where Gvozdenovic is experimenting with some changes.

Dhimitraq Xhambazi speaks: Here’s who stands out at Skënderbeu! This Super League is stronger

“This season is stronger than the last; many teams have strengthened and are playing well, but I want to emphasize that there are no obvious differences.”

These are the first words of the Korçë football icon Dhimitraq Xhambazi, who views this season as challenging for all teams. According to him, “There are no differences in points, at least from where Skënderbeu stands compared to the first place.”

The Korçë team has seven points, while the first place has 13 points, making it a recoverable difference for all others in this competition.

When asked who stands out at Korçë right now, Xhambazi emphasizes, “The group doesn’t have differences, but for me, up to this point, Rabiu and Rashica have stood out.” Thus, it seems that with the departures of several players, the group of standout performers has diminished.

SKËNDERBEU/ After Juri Merlim, alarm for Randi Dumfor and Etien Tare!

Although they are not starting players at the moment, Randi and Tare are two footballers who have been training individually during this week’s sessions for the Korçë team. It has been reported that both players are dealing with muscle injuries, primarily from strains sustained in the first week.

Randi was injured during the match against Tirana, while Tare picked up a muscle strain during a training session. As a result, both players may not be ready for the next match. Even though they are not starters, they have been on the bench, ready for activation in every game.

Randi has played in two matches, and Tare in one. If all three players, including Merlim, are not fit, they will watch the match from the stands, and in their place, three others will step in.

EXCLUSIVE/ Look at Alessandro Del Piero wearing the Skënderbeu jersey 10 years ago!

Today, we bring you one of the most exclusive stories about Skënderbeu from a decade ago. In fact, it’s our portal “Korça Boom” that reveals the photo of Alessandro Del Piero from that time. Many would say today that this photo could be edited, but it’s one of the most authentic images from that period.

What was Del Piero’s story with the Skënderbeu jersey and beyond? At that time, there were two players who were set to join Skënderbeu. Besides Alessandro, there was also Marco Materazzi, and both were ready to arrive in the southeastern city.

The story we’re uncovering today relates to the fact that both Italians played in India during the 2014-2015 season, and the managers of Skënderbeu had prepared both players to wear the red and white to present them in the southeastern city.

In fact, the photo we’re sharing shows Alessandro Del Piero in the red and white, convinced that he would play that season with Skënderbeu. With a big name in the world, Del Piero and Materazzi, at least in the summer of that year, were supposed to wear the red and white jersey in the European Cups.

However, a decision by the Skënderbeu club at that time prevented both from finalizing the agreement, as wearing the red and white would mean all the attention would be on them and not on Skënderbeu.

It was a fantastic deal that fell through at the last moment, but both were ready.

Today, our portal serves you the exclusive photo we bring for all our readers.

An exclusive news item at that time and even today, as it is well-known who the two big names in Italian and world football were, but they were at the end of their careers and really wanted to wear a jersey like that of Skënderbeu…
