Leaders of the “Fan S. Noli” University, including Rector Prof. Dr. Lorenc Ekonomi, Vice-Rector for Science and Projects Dr. Aida Mosko, and Vice-Rector for Teaching Prof. As. Dr. Lorena Zeqo, welcomed Academic Nicolae Saramandu, “Doctor Honoris Causa” of UNIKO, one of the most prominent philologists in Romania, specializing in Romanian linguistics and dialectology. He was accompanied by Professor Manuela Nevaçi from the University of Bucharest and Researcher Dr. Irina Floarea.
All three professors work at the “Iorgu Iordan-Aleksander Rosetti” Institute of Linguistics and Dialectology.
During the meeting, they discussed the collaboration and friendly relations that the Romanian professors have with the University of Korça, expressing their readiness to strengthen and expand this collaboration further through joint study programs, organizing activities, and participating in research projects of mutual interest.
At the end of the meeting, Acad. Saramandu donated a manual for teaching the Aromanian dialect to Aromanian students from Albania.
