October is the month of literature, carrying the weight of the giants of Albanian letters, filled with emotional verses! The resonance of this month can break down barriers across the world, serving as motivation to turn our eyes toward books because books always speak more in the language of each individual. In this context, the City Library, in collaboration with the schools “Hasan Bitincka” in Bitinckë, “Ismail Gjata” in Cangonj, and “Nevruz Gjoza” in Poloskë, organized a literary competition for the best essay on the theme “Why I Love Books?”
Students expressed their world in each essay interpreted by themselves. In the end, the winners were awarded certificates, along with books as gifts.
The “Nevruz Gjoza” school was awarded first place with student Sidorela Hibo.
The “Hasan Bitincka” school received two awards: an Encouragement Award for student Leonel Sllogu and second place for student Injelda Sllogu.
The “Ismail Gjata” school was awarded third place with student Kserana Shëpi.
Books are and will remain a guiding compass for everyone, for decades and centuries to come!
