Supported by the Korça District Council as part of the Francophone Tradition Days, the concert “Weaving Among Memories” took place in Korça under the direction and vision of Mrs. Skendi Island.
The event brought together prominent artists from Korça and beyond, seamlessly combining French music from the 1920s with the city’s own musical heritage to showcase the profound influence of French culture on Korça.
Reviving these cultural elements on stage serves as a way to inspire younger generations, emphasizing the values that have shaped Korça’s society over the years, particularly among former high school students.
The concert was warmly received by the audience and attended by distinguished guests, including representatives from the French Embassy, the French Ambassador, the German Ambassador, and the OSCE Ambassador to Albania.
Such initiatives are vital for preserving cultural heritage and conveying timeless values and messages that should not be forgotten.
