The State Police notes that certain sources have engaged in a media disinformation campaign regarding the killing of a 14-year-old by a peer, approximately 200 meters from the “Fan Noli” school in Tirana.
The State Police possesses witness statements from those involved in the conflict and video footage from the vicinity of the incident. However, due to legal restrictions on publishing this evidence, they inform the public that, based on the ongoing investigation, no second individual is implicated in this tragedy.
To address any claims and clarify every detail in pursuit of the truth and justice, the investigative team, under the direction of the case prosecutor, has questioned the parent of the injured minor, L. M., regarding their allegations. These claims will be evaluated alongside all other evidence and facts gathered during the investigation.
The Judicial Police, under the guidance of the prosecution, is conducting intensive actions to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident and determine the criminal responsibilities of specific individuals.
The State Police emphasizes that any misuse of this tragic loss of life by the media harms the confidentiality of the investigation and misinforms the public.
