Officially, we can now talk about the end of the punishment for the people of Korça. The years seem to pass quickly, and many things start and are forgotten, but not so easily, and certainly with “pain.” This has been felt by the fans of Korça and the management of the Skënderbeu team during the years of punishment, which will soon be forgotten.
We say “soon” because it is coming to an end. From what we’ve learned from “Korça Boom,” the Skënderbeu team is ready to play in Europe, specifically in the 2026-2027 season. Not only that, but it has also been confirmed that the 10 years will be completed in June, and everything will be officially resolved. Otherwise, the Skënderbeu team will participate in European competitions.
But there’s a “but,” and this relates to the fact that a spot in the competition must be secured. That means they either need to win the cup or finish in the top three of the league. So, it’s not just a matter of time, but also about building a very strong team capable of defeating all other teams. What’s important to note is that after two more seasons, Skënderbeu will be free from all the troubles and struggles of these past ten years.
