Skënderbeu’s Women’s Volleyball Team: A Year of Success and Ambitions for 2025
Skënderbeu’s women’s volleyball team has concluded a fantastic year and is now setting its sights on 2025, a year filled with opportunities to claim more trophies. Under the leadership of Orlando Koja, the team has solidified its position as a dominant force in Albanian volleyball, aiming to secure every available title next year. Their primary focus remains on the national championship, where the team is considered the undeniable favorite.
Dominance in the First Phase
In the first phase of the championship, Skënderbeu won all their matches, with only one going to a 3-2 scoreline; the rest were decisive victories, ensuring maximum points. The team currently leads the standings with 20 points, followed by Partizani with 18 points and Tirana with 15. Skënderbeu’s rivals trail behind a team that has been built for success, justifying their place at the top of the table.
The Road Ahead: Phase Two and Playoffs
Although Skënderbeu has shown remarkable form, one more phase of the championship remains, followed by the playoffs. If Skënderbeu secures first place at the end of the second phase, they will enjoy the advantage of playing on their home court during the playoffs—a significant benefit.
The national championship resumes on January 31 with a match against Teuta in Durrës. Below is the full schedule for the second phase, detailing dates and times for each match. Preparations for the second phase will also kick off in early January, with Skënderbeu already confirming one new signing and potentially another.
