If we talk about athletics in Korça, surely one winter night, or even more, is not enough, because there have been and still are so many champions and record holders in this sport that success is undeniable with the red-and-white jersey, even in the “queen” of sports.
Certainly, the great figures such as Pavlina Evro, Donika Anxhara, Alma Thano, Anila Mekshi, Piro Kasati, Alma Qeramixhi, Valbona Sina, Tomi Stefanllari, Kastriot Sulçe, Dhimitris Jorgos, and many others are just a few, as there are so many stars of Skënderbeu that no one else in all of Albania has had.
Today, we bring the most recent photo, where the Legends and great names are again present, even with a mix of generations. It’s about the great coaches Gjergji Burda and Vladimir Fëngjilli, and in the middle, a champion like Estela Josifi.
The three of them posed together with great affection in the following photo, as if to show that athletics in this city is great, so great that the names are endless.
Burda and Fëngjilli continue to be part of Skënderbeu to this day, and of course, the respect for them is extraordinary, producing countless champions and being a great value for Korça. Just as high has been the name of this city, lifted by Estela Josifi, an absolute champion and truly a very high-quality athlete from years ago.
