“Abissnet Superiore” starts in 7 days / Here are the matches of the 20th round

Date:

The 10 teams of “Abissnet Superiore” have little time to prepare in these early days of 2025, as the 20th round kicks off immediately, and teams must be ready within a week. Specifically, as of today, the league resumes in one week’s time with the first matches of the year.

This round has been officially scheduled to take place over two days—next Friday and Saturday. On Friday, January 10th, three matches will be played, while the final two matches of the round are set for Saturday, January 11th.

The year will begin with the first match in Rrogozhinë, where reigning champions Egnatia will host Laçi in a game starting at 1:30 PM. At the same time, another match will take place in Ballsh, where Bylis will face Dinamo, the current league leaders after 19 rounds. The first day’s action will conclude in Shkodër, where Vllaznia will host Tirana in a classic Superiore rivalry at the “Loro Boriçi” stadium.

The second and final day of the round will feature two matches, both scheduled for 5:00 PM. In Elbasan, the home team will host Teuta, while the week will close with a capital city showdown between Partizani and Skënderbeu.

As the 20th round approaches, Skënderbeu has little time to strategize, as the start of the year is right around the corner. During this period, all teams will also focus on potential transfers in the winter transfer market, though significant surprises are not expected. Skënderbeu, however, has expressed intentions to bring in players to achieve its goal of avoiding relegation. While the transfer window opened on January 1st, no official signings have been announced yet, with Skënderbeu primarily scouting international markets for reinforcements.
