The President of the AFL, Armand Duka, will also be the Vice President of UEFA from today, becoming the first Albanian to reach such a high position in the hierarchy of European football.The decision was taken today at the next meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee, which elected President Duka by unanimous vote to the position of number two of the European football government. A decision that comes naturally, seeing the great contribution of the President of the AFL over the years and his experience in football management already in Europe.Another important vote of confidence for the number 1 of Albanian football, who a few months ago was elected for the second time as a member of the UEFA Executive Committee at the 47th UEFA Congress that took place in Lisbon, Portugal.In these elections, President Duka achieved a record as he was ranked in first place based on votes, as the most voted, being elected with 45 votes in total out of 55 and thus receiving the trust of many delegates large European federations for the second time.Today’s news is without question a great achievement not only for Albanian football, but for all of Albania.
