The person in the photo is the individual who attempted to rob the Raiffeisen Bank branch in Korçë last night, entering with great ease, even filming himself.
The police reported that at around 10:04 PM, an unidentified individual forced his way into a second-level bank branch in neighborhood no. 3 of Korçë city by pushing the outer door with force.
Upon entering, the alarm was triggered, and police units immediately arrived at the scene.
The individual, upon noticing the police, fled the premises quickly without taking anything from inside the bank.
Sources indicate that the person who attempted to forcefully enter the bank was live on TikTok during the act.
Police services are pursuing the suspect and have surrounded the area where it is believed the perpetrator is hiding.
The investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office, continues working to identify the individual responsible.
This unusual incident occurred on the same day that Prime Minister Edi Rama announced the government would ban TikTok for a year, citing that the platform fosters all sorts of perversity and misconduct.
The decision was announced following a series of meetings with parents and teachers after the murder of 14-year-old Martin Cani by a peer, stemming from a dispute that began on social media.
