Date:

The Football Federation organized a mini-football tournament on Tuesday with the participation of three teams composed of girls from the AFF administration, Albanian media, and UN Women. This special initiative was undertaken by the AFF as part of the awareness month against breast cancer.

In a statement to fshf.org, AFF officials Barisa Avllaj and Lenida Halilaj, UN Women representatives Alba Agolli and Erisa Çela, and sports journalists Trevisa Tufa and Dea Kozma praised the activity and emphasized the importance of health check-ups.

Trevisa Tufa, sports journalist: “I am very grateful for this activity. It sends a message not just to the girls who love and follow sports, but to all women. Breast cancer can be diagnosed early, so we must get checked and catch this ‘enemy’ in time.”

Barisa Avllaj, AFF official: “Sport is the main promoter of a healthy life. It’s important for all of us to unite and send this message!”

Lenida Halilaj, AFF official: “Routine check-ups are crucial for preventing the disease. This is a serious issue.”

Dea Kozma, sports journalist: “Life makes us strong. Continuous check-ups should happen not only in October but throughout the year.”

Alba Agolli, UN Women representative: “Organizing such events promotes a healthy lifestyle and the importance of health visits.”

Erisa Çela, UN Women representative: “Activities should continue year-round to send a strong message about women’s health.”
