Skënderbeu and Tirana ended in a goalless draw (0-0) in the 16th round of the Albanian Superliga, played at the Korçë stadium. After the match, Skënderbeu’s coach, Ernest Gjoka, shared his thoughts on the game.
Gjoka noted that the second half was better compared to the first, which, in his opinion, was affected by the psychological pressure stemming from the team’s recent lack of positive results. He admitted that with the short time he had to work with the team, he couldn’t make significant changes to their strategy or approach. However, his focus was on helping the team create opportunities to score.
“In the first half, the team was like someone carrying 100 kilograms on their back and being told to run fast,” Gjoka explained, emphasizing that change requires time. He added that tactical adjustments and game reading were more evident in the second half.
Gjoka also highlighted that a lack of luck in finishing played a role in the final result, suggesting that the match could have ended differently if the team had managed to score.
