Maliqi secured a resounding 6-1 victory in today’s friendly match against FC Helzag, played at the annex of the “Skënderbeu” stadium.

This decisive win for the second-tier team came against the reigning champions of the Sunday League.

The match, which kicked off at 19:00 in the southeastern stadium annex, was expected to be a win for Maliqi, though not by such a large margin.

The game was entertaining on the field but featured many mistakes from FC Helzag. Nonetheless, it proved valuable for both teams as they prepare for their respective leagues.

Maliqi is expected to have more friendlies in the coming days as they get ready for the start of the new season.

Skënderbeu has taken advantage of the current break and decided to play a friendly match today at 4:00 PM, a few kilometers away.

Today at 4:00 PM, the team from Korçë will be guests in Devoll to face the local second-division team.

This will be a valuable test for the Superliga’s red and whites, as coach Ivan Gvozdenović and his staff have decided to give playing time to all those players who haven’t had the opportunity to get minutes in the first three weeks of the Superliga.

Additionally, there are players who have recently joined Skënderbeu, and this will be a good test to assess their physical form.

It’s the first time all summer that Skënderbeu is playing an away match, with the only previous friendly being against Kalithea in Greece, while all other friendlies were played at the “Skënderbeu” stadium.

In short, today’s friendly match between Devolli and Skënderbeu at 4:00 PM will be the test of this Friday.

The Devolli team is currently undergoing a complete overhaul, with significant changes from last season in all areas, including the presidency, coach, and squad. At the moment, Devolli has 18 players on its roster.

In this context, the management has decided to schedule their first friendly match. This friendly will provide a realistic assessment of the level of some of the new players. It’s also an opportunity to evaluate any trial players and consider others.

The match will take place today at 17:00 in Bilisht, where Devolli will face Pogradec. Given that Pogradec is at the peak of their pre-season preparation, they are expected to be in excellent form. Nonetheless, this friendly will be valuable for both teams.
