Under the special care of the Mayor of Devoll, Mr. Eduard Duro, the traveling theater “Gjergj Fishta” was warmly welcomed at the Cultural Center in Bilisht.

The performance by actors Izabela Doda and Xhilberto Gega conveyed reflective messages through selected poems by world-renowned authors on the theme of love.

In Mali i Mirë, at the symbolic celebration of Arrëza, where the roots of the homeland remain strong, many visitors from the area and beyond gathered today to celebrate together.

Devolli i Sipërm is one of the regions with the greatest potential for further development. With its stunning landscapes and rich history, this area is destined to become one of the most popular destinations for both local and international tourists.

Fifty years ago, in 1974, the “Ansambli Skënderbeu” was established. Its origins trace back to the name “24 Tetori,” a date that also marks the liberation of Korça.

This ensemble was created to showcase the folkloric, instrumental, and choreographic traditions, as well as the costumes and customs of the Korça region, which is renowned for its rich cultural heritage.

Some of the early names associated with the ensemble include Gjergji Pema, Gëzim Kacelli, and Engjëll Tërshana, who significantly enhanced the artistic life.

Today, the ensemble continues to preserve these traditions, presenting Korça’s culture both nationally and internationally, and has received various titles and medals for its contributions.

With an unwavering commitment to the cultural and economic development of our region, the Korça Regional Council, in close collaboration with the Devoll Municipality, has decided to initiate procedures for the construction of the “Dritëro Agolli” Museum in Menkulas. This decision is a clear expression of our dedication to preserving and promoting national values and the cultural-artistic heritage of our region.

The “Dritëro Agolli” Museum will be a fitting monument to one of the most distinguished figures in Albanian literature, a place where history, culture, and traditions will intertwine to inspire future generations.

The project will be co-financed by the Regional Council (60%) and the Devoll Municipality (40%)—a clear example of the power of collaboration to achieve common goals.

We are laying the foundations to ensure that this museum will be an educational and cultural center that preserves and promotes our national values and identity.

We are proud to have the opportunity to honor the figure of Dritëro Agolli and contribute to the further development of our region, making it an important cultural and tourist destination.
