EXCLUSIVE/ Brazilian Player Returns to Skënderbeu After a Year and a Half!

Agnaldo Pinto de Moraes Junior, the Brazilian midfielder, is set to rejoin Skënderbeu after departing the club in July 2023. Now over 30 years old and with a wealth of experience, Moraes is returning to the Albanian Superliga, where he previously left a mark.

Fans of Skënderbeu will remember Moraes from his initial stint with the club, which began in September 2021. Back then, he joined Skënderbeu from Kastrioti and later played for Kukësi. During his time in Albania, he featured in 34 matches for Skënderbeu, scoring one goal, and has a total of 61 Superliga appearances under his belt.

Moraes’ return raises some questions, particularly regarding his fitness, as he has not been part of any team since leaving Skënderbeu in the summer of 2023. Nonetheless, coach Ernest Gjoka plans to carefully evaluate the Brazilian’s form and reintegrate him into the squad. Moraes is expected to arrive in Albania in the coming days to officially rejoin the “white and reds.”

This move marks the first winter transfer for Skënderbeu, and the club is reportedly eyeing additional players to strengthen its roster. While they remain discreet about potential signings, Moraes’ arrival sets the tone for an active winter transfer window.

Welcome back, Agnaldo Moraes, and best of luck with Skënderbeu in this new chapter!
