The “Abissnet Superiore” championship has successfully completed its first two phases, showcasing intense rivalry and surprises in the standings. Comparing team performances between the current season and the previous one (2023/2024) highlights significant shifts in rankings.
Last season, after 18 matchdays, Egnatia led the table with 37 points, a run that ultimately secured their championship title. This season, however, Dinamo City tops the standings with 31 points. Notably, Dinamo was in fifth place with only 22 points at this stage last year. Meanwhile, Egnatia, who held the top spot a year ago, now sits fourth, just one point behind the leaders.
Vllaznia has shown remarkable improvement. In the 2023/2024 season, they had accumulated 26 points by this stage. This season, they share the top spot with Dinamo at 31 points, demonstrating consistent progress.
Partizani, last season’s runner-up with 32 points, is now in third place with 30 points—a slight drop. However, they are only one point shy of the leading position, keeping them well in contention.
Tirana has experienced a noticeable decline. Last season, they had 26 points, equal to Vllaznia, but this year they languish in seventh place with just 18 points.
At the bottom of the table, Skënderbeu and Laçi have faced the steepest declines. Skënderbeu, who were sixth last year with 22 points, now sit last with only 15 points. Similarly, Laçi has four fewer points than at the same stage last season.
This comparison underscores how unpredictable the current season has been. With just one point separating the top four teams, every match in the coming weeks could dramatically shift the dynamics of the championship.
