Elbasan’s coach, Ivan Gvozdenović, naturally expressed his happiness after a 0-2 victory against Skënderbeu. The former Skënderbeu coach shared his thoughts in the post-match interview following the opening game of the Superiore round.
The Serbian coach seemed to have achieved the revenge he sought in an effective manner, demonstrating his managerial skills with this success, particularly on the field where he first gained recognition.

After the 20th minute, we were better in every second, every minute. In the first 15 minutes, they were better than us, but after that, we were more prepared.
The pitch was in poor condition today. I knew that if we scored one goal, it would be difficult for Skënderbeu to recover. I’m satisfied; our attack scored two goals, and it worked well.
I know Skënderbeu’s strengths and weaknesses. Perhaps that gave us an advantage.
That goal from the corner kick? It was straight out of Arsenal’s playbook for set-pieces. The boys showed that we work hard in training.
As for reinforcements? We need 3 or 4 more players. I’ve spoken with the club, and we’ll see,” said Gvozdenović.
