The match between Skënderbeu and Dinamo ended without a winner, as the teams shared the points in a 2-2 draw. In this 14th-week fixture, both teams earned one point, leaving their positions in the standings unchanged.
After the game, Ivan Gvozdenović expressed his dissatisfaction with the result. The Korça coach also pinpointed specific mistakes that led to the conceded goals.
“We reacted very well after the first goal, but the second one came far too quickly. There were two clear chances for goals, notably Rashica’s. We are not satisfied with just one point. It was a tough match, but the performance itself was okay. However, the ball reached Dinamo for their second goal in a very amateurish way, and we conceded. You’re right—the first goal was also a bit amateurish. We had three or four players on the flank and still failed to cover properly. Doka lost the ball, but the real problem was the team’s reaction. The defensive block wasn’t strong enough. It wasn’t Doka’s fault that we conceded. Frenki got tired; he attacks the spaces behind well but struggled to handle the situations properly. We were in a 2-vs-1 situation toward the end and failed to take advantage of it.On the conceded goals: We’ve been a bit soft this season.
Last year, every opponent found it difficult to create chances against us. Now, there’s a clear weakness in our defense. We’re rotating too many players, which is why we lack stability in this department.
Did you take risks to win? I can’t say that—we accept that pressure is part of football. Yes, there was some pressure, but I don’t want to make excuses. We really wanted to win,” concluded the Korça coach.
