Ilir Daja, the coach of Dinamo, shared his thoughts on the upcoming match against Skënderbeu, emphasizing the importance of preparation and focus despite his team’s injuries.
“The break has been beneficial for improving our physical condition and addressing tactical and technical issues,” Daja stated. However, he noted that the break hasn’t helped in terms of recovering injured players, as key contributors like Bregu and Aliji remain unavailable. He highlighted Aliji’s strong recent performances, even when playing out of position, and Bregu’s unfortunate injury just as he was finding good form.
Facing Skënderbeu will be challenging, Daja acknowledged, as their opponents have shown quality performances despite their current position in the standings. “We’re not traveling to Korça thinking about their ranking but to compete. The conditions there are favorable for football, and we hope the cold weather won’t impact the quality of play,” he added.
Daja dismissed any notion of underestimating Skënderbeu, pointing out that differences in Albanian football are minimal. “If we took them lightly, it would be a big mistake. Both teams will fight for the win, as neither side is likely to settle for a draw. The more cautious team will come out on top,” he explained. He praised Skënderbeu’s quick counterattacks and physicality but expressed confidence in Dinamo’s preparation despite missing players.Regarding bench players, Daja underlined his trust in their abilities, saying, “Training and playing are different, but anyone we select to play has earned our confidence. This is their opportunity to prove themselves and secure a spot in the starting lineup.
“Finally, Daja suggested that Skënderbeu might feel added pressure from playing at home in front of passionate fans who value both results and quality football. “Pressure is part of the Superior League, and managing it is essential for competing at this level,” he concluded.
