The American people bid their final farewell this Thursday to former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, who passed away on December 29 at the age of 100.
At the tribute held for him at the altar of the National Cathedral, some of the most prominent names in American politics were present.
The incoming president, Donald Trump, attended alongside his partner, and was also surrounded by his rivals from the last three campaigns.
President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, former Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton, as well as former Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, all attended the tribute for Carter. Alongside Trump, they were seated close to each other in the front rows.
