Mother of two dies suddenly after undergoing weight loss treatments in Britain

Date:

A 34-year-old mother of two, Sarah Thompson, was found unconscious in her bed by her 14-year-old daughter shortly after taking weight-loss drops. Days earlier, Sarah had reportedly been feeling unwell and vomiting. Her family believes her sudden death was linked to the weight-loss treatment she had been using after gaining weight during her recovery from a previous illness.

In 2018, Sarah, from North Wales, had been diagnosed with cancer, and the treatments left her unable to exercise. To lose weight, she began using drops that led to significant weight loss but later discovered they contained Clenbuterol, a controlled and dangerous steroid if not taken properly.

Sarah had also purchased the treatment for her sister, Gabriella, who stopped using it when she experienced a rapid heartbeat. Gabriella shared her experience on ITV, saying, “No family should endure the pain we are feeling today. Sarah had no idea what was in the liquid she was taking. She would never have done it if she knew it meant risking never seeing her children again.”

Last month, the UK government issued urgent warnings about weight-loss medications and injections containing Ozempic, which have been linked to at least 10 deaths in Britain. Additionally, 68 people have been hospitalized due to complications from these controversial treatments, including Ozempic and Wegovy.

Initially developed as treatments for Type 2 diabetes, these medications are now marketed as “miracle weight-loss injections” by unethical individuals. Health officials warn of severe side effects and have urged doctors to fully inform patients about the risks involved.
