Yesterday, a “Gala” evening was held by the Basketball Federation, where many recognition titles were awarded for contributions to the game of basketball by athletes over the years, including current ones. Among others, was the basketball player from Korça, Ornela Lalaj, who is now an icon of the game. The captain of our national team was recognized as the most popular basketball player. This title is fully deserved by this athlete who has had a rich career, starting with Skënderbeu and later being sought after by all Albanian teams.
Ornela has also played with foreign teams, where there is still high demand for her, but Ornela has chosen to serve and play in Albania, contributing to the development of Albanian basketball.
A pride for Korça and beyond. We wish her even more success in her sports career, this wonderful young woman who radiates culture and professionalism in every step of her career. Success to Ornela Lalaj, from all sports lovers in Albania and especially from her fellow Korçans.
