Police arrested 2 people from gjenomadhi and 1 from denasi

DVP KorçaFinalized after 2 months of proactive investigations, the coded police operation “Denasi”, for cracking down on criminal activities in the field of production and sale of narcotics, possession of weapons without permission and cultivation of narcotic plants.A quantity of suspected narcotic cannabis, 2 shotguns and 2 double barrels are seized, as well as cannabis seedlings that were found cultivated near a residence are destroyed.The 3 citizens who possessed cannabis were arrested in their homes.One of them is suspected of cultivating cannabis seedlings near the apartment, while the other possessed the couple’s 2 shotguns and 2 barrels.Specialists for the Investigation of Illegal Traffic and Narcotics of DVP Korçë, in cooperation with the Korçë Police Station, following the continuous work to attack the criminal activities of the production and sale of narcotics, the illegal possession of weapons and the cultivation of narcotic plants, after a 2-month investigation with proactive methods, under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office, successfully organized and finalized the coded police operation “Denasi”.As a result of this operation, the following citizens were caught and arrested in the act:-D. L., 24 years old; K. Z., 20 years old, both residents of Gjonomadh village, Korçë and L. Q., 38 years old, resident of Denas village, Korçë.Based on the information provided by the information intelligence that these citizens, in cooperation with each other, carried out the criminal activity of producing and selling narcotics, the police services have exercised control in their homes, in the villages of Gjonomadh and Denas. During the checks in the three apartments, quantities of suspected narcotic cannabis were found.Also, in the vicinity of citizen D. L.’s apartment, cannabis seedlings were found cultivated, while during the check in the apartment of citizen K. Z., 2 shotguns and 2 double barrels were found.The narcotics and firearms were seized as material evidence, while the narcotic plants, after the completion of procedural actions, were destroyed by burning.Work continues to identify and bring to criminal responsibility other citizens implicated in this criminal activity.The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance of Korçë General Jurisdiction, for further actions.
