Specialists from the Directorate of Border and Migration Crimes Investigation in Korçë, along with patrol units operating along the green border, have intensified measures to prevent illegal trafficking. During routine patrols, they uncovered a case of cattle smuggling from Greece into Albania. As a result, citizens E. M., 33, and F. D., 27, were arrested in flagrante delicto. Additionally, legal proceedings were initiated for citizen E. Z., 47, who was found in possession of several cattle in the village of Tresenik, Devoll.
Meanwhile, the Devoll Police Station arrested a 20-year-old resident, I. N., on charges of distributing intimate photos of a minor on social media. His mobile phone was confiscated as material evidence.
Following up on a road accident reported yesterday in the Pogradec city ring road, which injured a pedestrian, the Road Traffic Police Sector arrested the driver, E. Sh., 28, a resident of Korçë, for “Violation of traffic regulations.”
Furthermore, legal proceedings were initiated for E. Ç., 48, and D. K., 29, after a collision between a vehicle driven by E. Ç. and a scooter operated by D. K. The scooter driver sustained minor injuries.
The Korçë Police Station referred legal materials to the Prosecutor’s Office for O. L., 48, a resident of Bulgarec village, Korçë, accused of domestic violence against his wife and minor daughters, who have been granted protection orders.
Similarly, the Pogradec Police Station initiated legal proceedings against V. L., 33, and R. L., 24, following a conflict with a 48-year-old man over trivial reasons.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Investigation Sector referred materials to the Prosecutor’s Office against F. G. for “Trading and transporting contraband goods,” after several packs of suspected contraband cigarettes were found in his backpack.
All procedural materials have been forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Korçë for further action.
