Police Announcement: Following the preliminary information provided yesterday regarding a road accident on the “Korçë-Pogradec” route, we inform you that the Traffic Police Sector referred the materials to the Prosecutor’s Office, where a criminal case was initiated against citizen A. Gj., 48 years old, residing in Italy, for the criminal offense of “Violation of traffic rules.”
Additionally, the Traffic Police Sector referred materials to the Prosecutor’s Office, where a criminal case was initiated against citizen P. Ll., 56 years old, residing in Korçë, as he lightly injured a 70-year-old man with the vehicle he was driving on “Fan Noli” boulevard.
The Pogradec Police Station referred materials to the Prosecutor’s Office, where a criminal case was initiated against citizen S. L., 31 years old, residing in the village of Vërdovë, as he was caught in the village of Trebinjë transporting 8 cubic meters of illegally cut timber in a truck. The vehicle and the timber were seized as material evidence.
Additionally, a criminal case was initiated against a minor residing in the village of Vërdovë, suspected of stealing a camera and several meters of electrical cable from the village mosque, which were found and seized as material evidence.
The procedural materials have been forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Korçë for further action.
In the Maliq Police Station, citizen L. Z., 37 years old, residing in the village of Maliq, reported that on October 3, 2024, her underage daughter left their home. Efforts are underway to locate her.
