A tragic road accident occurred near the village of Bulgarec, where a vehicle struck a pedestrian, who later died in the hospital in Korça.
The vehicle involved in the incident reportedly fled the scene of the accident.
The police have launched an investigation and identified the driver responsible for the crash.

The driver of the vehicle, who struck and killed a 65-year-old woman and then fled the scene, has been identified and is now wanted. After intensive follow-up and surveillance by the police, the driver was identified as G. M., a 27-year-old from Dërsnik.
Specialists from the Traffic Police, following thorough checks and reviewing security cameras in the area of the accident, managed to identify the vehicle and its driver, who had fled the scene. At approximately 5:40 PM, in the village of Bulgarec, the suspect, while driving his vehicle, struck 65-year-old pedestrian S. Q., who later succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
Efforts are ongoing to capture the 27-year-old.
The case file will be forwarded to the Prosecutor's Office for further legal actions.
