The Easter holidays have marked a significant return of Albanian emigrants to their homeland. In just 72 hours, more than 18,000 people entered Albania through the Kapshtica border crossing, highlighting the strong connection of the diaspora with their roots, especially during festive periods.

Authorities at the border point reported increased flow and reinforced staff to manage the influx efficiently, ensuring smooth passage for travelers.

As is tradition, many Albanian families living abroad take advantage of religious and national holidays to reunite with loved ones and spend time in their hometowns.

At the Kapshtica border point, the situation remains calm and well-managed. No queues or delays have been reported, as border authorities are working efficiently to handle the increased traffic. To ensure faster processing, five passport control counters are operating simultaneously, helping manage the flow with minimal waiting times.
