The indictment of several doctors for abuses at the Oncology Hospital sparked intense debates in parliament.

As any opposition would do, the Albanian opposition used the event to make political statements. Albana Vokshi, along with her colleagues in the opposition, leveled strong accusations regarding the incident, blaming former health ministers and the current one, Albana Koçiu.

"Koçiu, Manja, Manastirliu should not have been in those positions, everyone knew about the scandal at the oncology hospital, everyone was aware. These ministers and the leaders of QSUT are at the head of corruption," said Vokshi.

The first reaction from the government came from Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.

"You have this high, dry tone yourselves, take responsibility for the ruined homes, you will get the truth and why you never like it, justice reform has been made by the PS, if today justice is taking all measures to implement the rights, these stories with ministers who have to be removed you can ask but the minister has to continue the job, we take measures and the minister will inform you all, we are shocked and upset for everything they have done, a request for change will start for the law to revoke the licenses of these doctors," said Balluku.
