A 24-year-old was arrested today by Korçë police after attempting to burn down his sister-in-law's hair salon. The police intervened quickly and arrested the young man, who had gasoline with him to carry out the act.
In the announcement from the Korçë Local Police Directorate, it states: "The Korçë Police Station arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen S. D., 24 years old, residing in Korçë. This individual attempted to burn down with gasoline a property (hair salon) used by his ex-sister-in-law."
Thanks to the swift action of the police, a serious incident was averted that could have had major consequences for the safety of the people involved and the community. Investigations are ongoing to fully clarify the event and to take the necessary legal measures against the arrested individual.
