"Lost money in sports betting and reported it as stolen to the police, criminal charges filed against two young men from Korça
Specialists from the Crime Investigation Department at the Korça Police Station have reported the case to the Prosecutor’s Office, which has initiated criminal proceedings against R. H., 23, and F. M., 25, both residents of Korça.
The police clarified that the individuals will face criminal charges after, on April 5, 2025, the 23-year-old made a false report claiming that a sum of money had been stolen from him, which was later found in his pocket during a physical search by the police officers.
Additionally, during the examination of his cellphone, conversations with the 25-year-old revealed texts and photos related to sports betting.
