Prefect Nertil Jole:
"With the participation of the Minister of Education and Sports, Ms. Olgerta Manastirliu, and the Minister of Defense, Mr. Niko Peleshi, we held an extensive and constructive meeting with the Rector, Mr. Dhimitri Bello, and the academic staff of 'Fan S. Noli' University, regarding the current and future challenges of this highly important institution for Korçë and our entire region.
The future of this University is directly linked to the youth of our communities, who must find sufficient reasons to consider this University as their first choice for pursuing their studies. Not only those from within our region but also young people from other regions of Albania.
The time imposes the need for new ideas, which should be oriented in line with the current socioeconomic developments of the region and our country, as well as in line with the policies for the development of higher education until 2030 that the Ministry of Education and Sports is drafting.
The reorganization of academic programs, taking into account the demands of the labor market, the deepening of efforts by educators in scientific research, the advancement of strategic plans with the support of all stakeholders involved in the profiling processes, nationalization with the universities of Tirana, and internationalization with prestigious foreign universities, increasing the internal capacities of the University and its infrastructural ones, and creating cooperative bridges with private enterprises of our district and beyond, were some of the topics discussed in detail at this meeting.
All of the above are certainly presented as difficult and complex challenges, but not impossible to achieve continuous progress if we are guided by true efforts and with professional courage for continuous self-reform, so that 'Fan S. Noli' University becomes a center of education and development that fulfills all the premises of success."
