Hafiz Ali Korça (Korça, April 5, 1873 – Kavajë, January 7, 1957) was an imam, hafiz, orator, publicist, and translator of masterpieces of Eastern religious and artistic literature. With his work *Bolshevism, a Destruction of Humanity*, he became the first Albanian to denounce communism.
He received his early education in his hometown and later pursued higher studies in Istanbul.
After completing his studies, he returned to his homeland and began teaching at the Albanian school in Korça, where he taught Ottoman language, mathematics, and writing in Turkish.
He was proficient in Arabic, Persian, Ottoman, and French. In 1890, he was appointed as a teacher at the Rushdiye school in Korça, later moving to the Idadiye school, where he taught geography and mathematics. In 1903, he was appointed as a teacher of geography and history at the Idadiye school in Sparta, Anatolia.
He participated in the Congress of Monastir (1908) and the Congress of Dibra (1909). He gave a speech in French upon the arrival of Prince Vidi (1914). In 1916, he became the director of the education office for Tirana, Durrës, and Central Albania. Between 1918 and 1924, he was a member of the High Council of Sharia.
With the rise of the communists to power and the establishment of the dictatorship, Hafiz Ali Korça was imprisoned and exiled due to his beliefs and stance. He spent the last years of his life in solitude in Kavajë, where he passed away on January 7, 1957.
