Rector of "Fan S. Noli" University, Lorenc Ekonomi, met with Dr. Virgjil Stefan Nitulescu

On July 23, 2024, Dr. Virgil Stefan Nitulescu, Director of the National Museum of the Romanian Peasant, was received in a meeting by the leaders of "Fan S. Noli" University.
The elected Rector of UNIKO, Prof. Dr. Lorenc Ekonomi, and the Vice Rector for Science and Projects, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Benita Stavre, acquainted Dr. Nitulescu with the activities of our University. They expressed openness for collaboration, highlighting concrete opportunities in this context such as cooperation with the Department of History and Geography, scientific research collaboration, student internships, and more.
Dr. Nitulescu thanked the leaders for the reception on this first visit to our University and, within the framework of collaboration, offered his contribution as a historian with extensive experience in public administration, cultural policies, museology, and the protection of cultural heritage.
The meeting was also attended by Mrs. Fjoralba Prifti, Director of the National Museum of Medieval Art, and lecturer, PhD. Daniela Stoica, Coordinator of the Romanian Information Center in Korçë. They also appreciated this meeting for the continuation of collaboration in the field of cultural heritage and ethnography.
The National Museum of the Romanian Peasant, located in Bucharest, Romania, is one of the most important ethnography museums in Europe. It was founded in 1906 and has a large collection that includes traditional Romanian objects such as folk costumes, agricultural tools, ceramics, icons, furniture, textiles, and more.
