The President of the Albanian Football Federation (FSHF), Armand Duka, in a statement to the media, analyzed the final stage of the “Abisnet Superiore” championship, appreciating the strong competition in both the race for a spot in the Final 4 and the battle for survival.

The head of the football government also spoke about the importance of infrastructure investments and the great need for more football fields, especially training grounds. He also emphasized the significance of new projects for the reconstruction of four new stadiums and the implementation of FSHF’s “100 Fields” project.

Analysis of Abissnet Superiore“Every championship in its final stage becomes really exciting and interesting because it reflects the results of a year’s work. Therefore, the competition intensifies, and there’s more commitment, especially from the teams aiming for more from this championship.

I can’t predict anything, but the most predictable thing is that almost four teams will participate in the Final 4 at the Arena Kombëtare stadium. There may be some discussion between Partizani and Elbasani, while Vllaznia, Egnatia, and Dinamo have almost secured their spots.

Unfortunately, at the end of the championship, not everyone will be happy with the results, but we should be pleased with the game and the contribution made during the year.”

Every competition has its own specific emotions – emotions to be part of the Final 4, emotions to be the champion, or the emotions related to securing survival. The toughest battle at the moment seems to be at the bottom of the table, where the rankings are very tight from 6th to 10th place, with small differences.”

Investments in Infrastructure“Investments are one of the main pillars for the development of football, and for this, we have focused a lot on ensuring positive change. The joint investments made for football in Albania are truly many, but there is still a need for more. The projects we have and continue to implement are numerous, as the '100 Fields' project continues because our main issue is training fields, not the playing field.

In a way, the infrastructure for developing activities, especially for the Abissnet Superiore championship, is at satisfactory levels. Several stadiums have been built in Albania, three new stadiums are under renovation projects, and a fourth project has been added, the 'Selman Stërmasi' stadium, which I believe will take the stadiums and sports infrastructure to a higher and more acceptable level for played football.

These are projects that will continue. We can never say they are enough, because the more football players and interest in football increase, the more suitable environments are needed to have activities with a higher level of organization and better conditions for the spectators. It remains a challenge for the clubs, but also for FSHF, to ensure that these newly reconstructed stadiums are filled with people who are passionate enough to support football.”
