The Department of Foreign Languages at “Fan S. Noli” University, in collaboration with the Students’ Hub “Think Tank” and the Public Library “Thimi Mitko,” Korçë, organized an event to honor the 75th anniversary of the passing of English novelist and poet George Orwell.

A highlight of this event was an open lecture titled: “The Perpetuation of Propaganda Language by G. Orwell. Reflections on Animal Farm and the Translation of the Work into Albanian,” delivered by the Head of the Department, Associate Professor Dr. Eriola Qafzezi.

This meeting marked an “intellectual journey” through analyses of foreign language and reality, manipulation through propaganda, and the powerful messages of Animal Farm, bringing them into the context of their translation into Albanian.

Students engaged in discussions, shared diverse opinions, and showed great interest in the relevance and lasting impact of the work. On behalf of the Department, Dr. Qafzezi expressed gratitude to all co-organizers and participants who made this event truly special and inspiring.
