During today's parliamentary session, while the Governor of the Bank of Albania, Gent Sejko, was speaking, Gazment Bardhi, the head of the PD Parliamentary group, had a heated confrontation with the session leader, Ermonela Felaj.
The exchange became intense, prompting Felaj to intervene, stating, "You are crossing all ethical boundaries," in an effort to restore order and decorum to the proceedings.
During the parliamentary session, when Bardhi took the floor, Felaj interrupted him, stating that he was not speaking on procedural matters and needed to sit down. Following this, Bardhi launched into attacks against her.
Excerpt from the debate:
Bardhi: "The gangs have taken you hostage, and we’re not saying anything."
Felaj: "Don’t get into other stories, or you’ll end up badly."
Bardhi: "I won’t end up badly because I take responsibility for every signature I make, unlike you, who are taken hostage by gangs."
Felaj: "You’re not speaking on procedure. What is your concern?"
Bardhi: "That’s why the governor is here, to give us explanations. There’s no need for explanations."
Felaj: "There is a need to raise an alert that the documents of the files end up in your hands."
Bardhi: "Yes, they do end up in my hands. They shouldn’t just be in yours and your husband’s."
Felaj: "You’re stuck on who gave it to you."
Bardhi: "Why should I tell you? Your husband brought it to me. Doesn’t he work in the prosecutor’s office? He gave me the file on the governor."
Felaj: "Sit down, you are crossing all ethical boundaries."
