The teams of the Albanian Superliga, and specifically Skënderbeu, won’t have time to rest, as the busy schedule of official matches will start soon in January. The first match for the Korça team will be on January 11th, when they will face Partizani in the capital.
It has now been officially confirmed that Skënderbeu will begin training sessions on January 3rd. According to the club, the first session will take place at the “Tropikal” resort in Durrës, where the team will gather for the start of the new year. Foreign players, as well as local players who were abroad for the holidays, have been notified to be present at the first training session under the guidance of coach Ernest Gjoka.
There isn’t much time for Skënderbeu to prepare, as just one week after the training begins, official matches will start. According to the schedule, Skënderbeu will play four official matches in January, three of which will be at home, and one away.
After the January 11th match against Partizani, Skënderbeu will spend the rest of the month at home. On January 15th, they will face Vora in the 1/8 round of the Albanian Cup at the “Skënderbeu” stadium. Later in the month, Skënderbeu will play two more home matches. On January 19th, they will face Vllaznia, and on January 25th, they will meet Teuta at home. Therefore, Skënderbeu will play three home matches and only one away match in January.
Based on the draw, Skënderbeu has the opportunity to overcome the crisis they are currently facing, but that requires results. The team, currently at the bottom of the Abissnet Superiore table, needs a morale boost. The first match of 2025 is approaching quickly, and Skënderbeu will not have much time to prepare.
