“Expanding and Strengthening UNIKO’s Bilateral Cooperation and Relations with Greek Universities” was the focus of today’s meeting during the visit of the Greek Ambassador to Albania, Mrs. Konstantina Kamitsi, to “Fan S. Noli” University.
The Greek Ambassador to Albania, Mrs. Konstantina Kamitsi, accompanied by the Consul General of Greece in Korça, Mr. Nikolaos Yotopoulos, and Mr. Georgios Angeletopoulos, a representative of the Embassy, was welcomed by the Rector of UNIKO, Prof. Dr. Lorenc Ekonomi, Vice Rector for Research and Projects, Dr. Aida Mosko, and Vice Rector for Teaching, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Lorena Zeqo.
During the meeting, the Rector introduced Ambassador Kamitsi to the university’s overall activities, highlighting the existing bilateral relations and collaborations between UNIKO and Greek universities such as those in Thessaloniki, Kozani, Ioannina, and Corfu. Special focus was placed on partnerships within the Erasmus+ program, enabling staff and student exchanges with institutions like Panteion University in Athens and Aristotle University in Thessaloniki.
UNIKO’s leadership expressed their commitment to further deepen and expand these collaborations, as well as to establish new relationships with Greek universities.
Ambassador Kamitsi thanked the Rector for the warm reception and pledged her support in broadening the scope of partnerships. She emphasized opportunities for collaboration in joint projects and activities, staff and student exchanges, and the organization of summer schools, among other initiatives.
