The Academic Senate and the Administrative Board of “Fan S. Noli” University held a meeting during which the draft annual report on teaching and scientific research for the 2023-2024 academic year, as well as on financial activity for the 2024 calendar year, was presented and approved.
A detailed overview of progress in three main areas—teaching, scientific research, and financial processes—was presented by the Vice-Rector for Teaching, Associate Professor Dr. Lorena Zeqo; the Vice-Rector for Science and Projects, Dr. Aida Mosko; and the Administrator, Mr. Petrika Petro, respectively.
Teaching
The report summarizes achievements and challenges in curriculum delivery, student support, and the advancement of teaching quality. It highlights efforts to improve teaching methodologies and increase the engagement of academic staff.
Scientific Research
The report analyzes completed projects, publications, and achievements at both national and international levels. It also identifies opportunities for strengthening collaborations and pursuing new research initiatives.
Financial Management
The financial section of the report outlines the university’s financial resource management performance, allocated expenditures, and investments made to support infrastructure and academic capacity development. It emphasizes transparency and accountability in fund usage.
Rector’s Speech
In his remarks, UNIKO Rector, Professor Dr. Lorenc Ekonomi, emphasized:
“This is an important moment to reflect on the achievements, challenges, and opportunities we have encountered as an institution during the reporting period, and also to look ahead, to share with you the plans and objectives for the 2024-2025 academic year.
This report was prepared thanks to the contribution of the academic staff of the four main units of the University, updated information provided by the supporting teaching staff and the administrative sectors of the University. It contains data presented in the respective analyses of the Faculties and aims not only to highlight the achievements to date in the aforementioned areas but also to underscore the dynamics of “Fan S. Noli” University in relation to fulfilling the criteria of the Bologna Declaration and Quality Assurance Standards.
From this perspective, it also serves as a self-assessment report for measurable quality indicators in this institution and the measures that need to be taken moving forward for the necessary improvements in this framework.”
