The Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës, and all of Albania, Mr. Anastasios, was hospitalized at the “Evangelismos” hospital in Athens shortly after 8:15 PM on Friday evening, January 3, 2025.
His Beatitude traveled from Tirana to Athens on a special plane, as the doctors at the “Hygeia” Hospital in Tirana requested more intensive care.
Archbishop Anastas, according to reports, arrived at Elefsina airport in generally stable condition and was transported to the “Evangelismos” hospital by a mobile Emergency Medical unit.
An announcement from the hospital’s doctors is expected as soon as they finish the tests and gain a clearer picture of his health condition.
We pray for Archbishop Anastas to have a speedy recovery.
