TIRANA, January 9 – The Council of Ministers today approved the spring bonus for all 730,430 pensioners.
The Minister of Economy, Culture, and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhja, stated to the media after the government meeting that the spring bonus will be granted to 520,443 pensioners who receive less than 20,000 ALL per month, providing them with a bonus of 10,000 ALL. Meanwhile, 209,987 pensioners who receive a retirement pension higher than 20,000 ALL per month will receive a bonus of 5,000 ALL.
Gonxhja also mentioned that, so far, 597,578 pensioners have received the end-of-year bonus. “This was the highest-value bonus ever given by the Albanian government,” said the minister.
Pensioners will not have to wait until spring to receive the promised next bonus, as they will be able to withdraw it as early as February.
