As part of increased inspections to implement measures ensuring order and safety during the holiday season, two cases of illegal sale of pyrotechnic materials have been addressed.
Two individuals have been legally charged for selling fireworks and firecrackers in their shops located in Devoll and Pogradec.
Officers from the Devoll and Pogradec Police Commissariats, through routine field inspections, identified two shops selling pyrotechnic materials. Following these findings, case files were submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office, and legal proceedings were initiated against:
- A. M., 56 years old, resident of Devoll
- L. B., 58 years old, resident of Pogradec
As evidence, dozens of fireworks and firecrackers were seized from the two shops.
The case materials have been forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Korçë for further action.
In line with the enforcement plan, police services will remain on heightened alert to maintain order and safety throughout the festive period. Authorities urge citizens to report cases of illegal trade or use of pyrotechnic materials, ensuring immediate action to hold responsible individuals accountable.
