At least ten people lost their lives, and 30 others were injured after a car struck a crowd of people in New Orleans, United States.
Police reported that the incident, which occurred in the city’s French Quarter near the intersection of Bourbon Street and Iberville Street at 3:15 a.m. local time, appears to have been a deliberate act.
According to initial information, the car hit people at high speed, after which the driver exited the vehicle and began shooting.
Subsequently, the police returned fire, but the perpetrator has not yet been apprehended.
