Tirana Police Directorate: Measures for ensuring public order and safety during football match on December 1, 2024

The Tirana Police announces that measures will be in place to ensure public order and safety before, during, and after the football match between “KF Tirana” and “Partizani,” scheduled for December 1, 2024, at 7:00 PM at the “Arena Kombëtare” stadium.

Traffic and Movement Restrictions

To implement the safety plan:

  • Vehicle Relocation: Cars parked near the stadium must be moved by 2:00 PM on match day.
  • Road Closures: From 5:00 PM until the event concludes, the following roads will be closed:
    • “Lek Dukagjini” Street (around the stadium)
    • “Dervish Hima” Street
    • “Gjergj Filipi” Street
    • “Papa Gjon Pali II” Street (from the intersection with “Ismail Qemali” Street to “Air Albania” stadium)
    • “Dëshmorët e Kombit” Boulevard (from the Presidency to “Nënë Tereza” Square)

Movement of Fans

Designated routes for fans have been set to avoid clashes:

  • KF Tirana Fans:
    • Selvia → National Theater of Opera → “Skënderbej” Square → “Dëshmorët e Kombit” Boulevard → Old Hotel Dajti Bridge → “Bajram Curri” Street → Etc Shopping Center → “Papa Gjon Pali II” Street → Coin Building → Stadium.
  • Partizani Fans:
    • Intersection of “Muhamet Gjollesha” and “Artan Lenja” Streets → along “Muhamet Gjollesha” Street → “Sulejman Delvina” Street → “Ibrahim Rugova” Street → behind the Presidency → “Frederik Shopen” Square → University of Tirana Steps → Stadium.

Additional Measures

  • Restricted Movement: Fans must follow the specified routes, and no gatherings or movement outside these routes will be permitted.
  • Rigorous Checks: Fans will undergo strict security checks at stadium entrances to prevent illegal items (hard objects, water bottles, umbrellas, metal keys, pyrotechnics, etc.). Every fan must carry an identification document.
  • Banned Individuals: Persons prohibited from entering sports venues must report to their respective police stations during the match, as per Law No. 79/2017 on Sports, amended by Law No. 105/2020. Failure to comply constitutes a legal violation.
  • Children’s Entry: Children under 16 will not be allowed into the stadium unless accompanied by a parent or guardian (with proper identification), even if they possess a ticket.

Appeal for Cooperation

Tirana Police requests the understanding and cooperation of fans to comply with the measures and routes outlined. Additionally, citizens are advised to avoid driving in the restricted areas during the specified times to minimize disruption.
