The Albanian national team began the “UEFA Development U-15” tournament for boys with a victory. The Red and Blacks, coached by Armand Damo, dominated their first match against the Faroe Islands at the “Football House,” triumphing with a score of 4-1. The goals for Albania were scored by Mattia Xhemali, Gentjan Sharka, and Fabio Hyseni (2 goals).
Coach Armand Damo started the match with the following lineup: Bastian Brungaj (GK), Aend Cekrezi, Joart Mile (C), Rian Nezaj, Denis Nikolli, Sean Sulaj, Fabio Hyseni, Sebastian Sina, Gentjan Sharka, Mattia Xhemali, Rajan Dybeli.
Albania took the lead in the second minute with a goal from Mattia Xhemali. After a beautiful combination among the players, Xhemali shot from inside the box and scored the first goal of the match.
As the game continued, the Faroe Islands managed to equalize. However, the Red and Blacks scored two more goals before the end of the first half, bringing the score to 3-1. Gentjan Sharka scored in the 43rd minute, and Fabio Hyseni netted the third goal in stoppage time.
The second half started with the same rhythm for the Albanian team, who scored their fourth goal again through Fabio Hyseni. Until the end of the match, the Red and Blacks dominated and had several other scoring opportunities, but the match concluded with a 4-1 scoreline. Coach Armand Damo made several substitutions during the second half, allowing other players to showcase their skills on the field.
In another group match played earlier today at the “Football House,” Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated San Marino with a resounding 5-0 score.
The second matches of the “UEFA Development U-15” tournament will take place on October 25. The first match of the day at the “Football House” will be Bosnia and Herzegovina vs. Faroe Islands at 11:00 AM, while Albania will face San Marino at 3:00 PM.
The “UEFA Development U-15” tournament will conclude on October 28 with the final matches. The first challenge at the “Football House” will be Faroe Islands vs. San Marino at 10:00 AM, while Albania will play against Bosnia and Herzegovina at 2:00 PM.
