A new page is being launched for several older phones still in use by a portion of the population.
As is often the case, applications like WhatsApp continually update their features for iOS and Android devices.
Unfortunately, this means that some older smartphone models will no longer be supported.
For users of these devices, WhatsApp will no longer function. However, the web version of the app will still be available for use.
Another option is to back up your data and switch to a newer, updated phone that supports the latest versions.
