Under the leadership of Portuguese coach Sergio Conceição, AC Milan defeated Inter 3-2 in a comeback victory in the Italian Super Cup final.
The Rossoneri secured a significant comeback win against their Nerazzurri rivals, claiming their first trophy of the season.
This triumph came under the guidance of their new coach, Conceição, who recently replaced the dismissed Paulo Fonseca.
This was only the second match for the 50-year-old Portuguese coach at the helm of the Italian team.
Thus, Conceição has become the fastest coach in Milan’s history since the 1929-1930 season to win a trophy.
The previous record was held by Vincenzo Montella, who won the Italian Super Cup in December 2016 after 18 matches in charge.
